FIRST LINE MANAGER (SALES SPECIALITY) NOVARTIS INDONESIA
Job purpose: To build and execute business plans to meet sales goals for assigned territory; to drive territory sales performance, market share and optimal resource utilization; to develop effective relationships with customers that support delivery of business results; to promote Novartis as a leader in general or specific pharmaceutical areas. Major accountabilities: - Develops and coordinates Area and centre/hospital sales plans in line with Specialty Sales objectives; develops and executes business plans and delivers required financial results for own brands/products.
- Demonstrates problem solving by formulating and implementing action plans based on comprehensive territory analysis and in coordination with associates.
- Builds effective and enduring customer relationships; identifies and works closely with the most significant customers in the area; where appropriate, establishes clinical forums, programs and alliances to support customers, prescribers, pharmacists, nursing personnel etc.
- Leads a high-performing team of Specialty Sales Representatives ; hires, trains and develops as necessary; provides coaching and feedback aligned to Novartis Leadership Standards and Sales Functional Competencies; inspires representatives to meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Manages and optimizes effective allocation of resources to deliver required business results.
- Works effectively with Key Accounts, Key Account Managers and with field-based sales teams within General Medicines to achieve business results.
- Provides expert specialty insight into the local healthcare systems and their likely impact on customers; communicates customer insights to internal stakeholders and supports development of new business strategies for specialty brands/products; identifies top business opportunities or gaps through analysis of available reports.
- Serves as a communication bridge from Senior Management to representatives.
- Works within ethical and compliance policies and creates a culture that ensures all reports, direct and indirect, do the same.
- Creates a diverse and inclusive environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment.
Ideal background - Education: University Graduate (Strata 1)
- Certification: PEDFI Certified preferred.
- University Major: Life/health sciences (e.g: pharmacy, biology, chemistry, nursing, medical, etc)
- Previous experience: As FLM Other multinational pharma companies (Area Manager/District Manager or similar position) or some top-tiered local companies (Supervisor/Area Manager/District Manager)
- Languages:Bahasa Indonesia – fluent
- Intermediate English – (able to understand written English text and manage casual day-to-day)
