BBC Indonesia is part of the BBC World Service, an international multimedia news organization which provides news and current affairs output to a global audience. From its offices in London and Jakarta, BBC Indonesia serves its audience in Indonesian language on radio, on the internet and on mobile phone. We are looking for:

Bureau Editor, Jakarta

Requirements:

• Lead a team experienced journalist in the bureau's multimedia news operations
• You'll be a key player in devising strategy for BBC Indonesia; supervising the newsgathering team in Jakarta and working closely with the London team to ensure the excellent editorial standards of the BBC output.
• Experience in leading or managing a team of journalists
• Having excellent Indonesia and English language skills, written and spoken, is essential
• Have first class editorial judgment and through knowledge of Indonesia, the world and regional affairs, as well as being confident in working in a multimedia environment
