We work primarily on projects funded by international finance institutions you can learn more about us at www.cowater.com.We are currently seeking to recruit two Indonesian Project Officers for a CIDA-funded_project to support Indonesia s Islands of Integrity Program for Sulawesi (SIPS). The project will assist local governments in Sulawesi in implementing transparent government administration practices in three areas: a) licensing and identification cards, b) performance incentives, and c) procurement. Successful candidates will be responsible for managing project support offices in North and South Sulawesi.

Responsibilities of the Project Officers
The primary duty of the Project Officers will be to provide on-the-ground project monitoring, reporting and analytical support to the Canadian Project Director. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with key provincial and district level decision-makers and projects ' stakeholders to facilitate project implementation;
• Providing logistical and coordination support for project activities;
• Helping -to plan, organize and ensure the efficient delivery of workshops, seminars, training, coaching & other project activities;
• Identifying emerging project implementation issues and alerting the Project Director-,
• Analyzing and providing advice on the local governance context;
• Respecting the values of KPK's Code of Conduct; and
• Assisting with reporting and planning.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of undergraduate degree with specialization in public administration , project management, local governance reform or other specialties relevant to the position; b. Minimum of 7 years of work experience providing logistical and coordination support for project activities;
• Practical knowledge gained through experience of local governance issues and reforms in Indonesia and more specifically Sulawesi;
• Sound knowledge and understanding of Indonesia's financial and asset regulations;
• Experience in the areas of licensing, performance incentives and procurement reforms;
• Previous experience working with bilateral or multilateral donors in a similar capacity;
• Ability to communicate in both spoken and written English;
• Ability to travel frequently to the regions and/or be based in North or South Sulawesi for the duration of the project; and
• Indonesian citizenship.

Anticipated start date: September 20, 2010
Duration of Assignment: up to 5 years
Remuneration: Commensurate with qualifications
