Australia Indonesia Partnership for Economic Governance (AIPEG) The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Economic Governance (AIPEG) is an AusAID-funded project assisting Indonesia to undertake economic and financial policy reforms. Norton Rose Australia, the Managing Contractor, seeks applications from qualified Indonesian professionals for the following temporary positions located in the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Jakarta:

Economic Policy Research Consultant

• Economic Policy Research Consultant, for up to 6 months. The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate:
• Successful policy and technical advice at the strategic and operational levels;
• Advanced analytical skills and a strong command of economic theory and concepts;
• Experience in undertaking detailed and thorough research on economic issues, preferably on economic integration In the ASEAN region (citing published work is an advantage);
• Willingness to work independently and as part of a team, Including to support the transfer of technical skills to others; o strong written and oral communication skills in English as well as Bahasa Indonesia, and
• Have a commitment to working with Government of Indonesia systems.

Economic Policy Coordination Consultant

• Economic Policy Coordination Consultant, for up to 4 months. The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate:
• Experience in corporate planning, liaison and coordination;
• Experience with change management and organizational reform;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, preferably in the context of public policy economics;
• Willingness to work independently and as part of a team, including to support the transfer of technical skills to others;
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills across a range of media in English as well as Bahasa Indonesia; and
• Have a commitment to working with Government of Indonesia systems.

Economic Database Management Consultant

• Economic Policy Research Consultant, for up to 5 months. The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate:
• Experience in managing and maintaining electronic and hard-copy databases/filing systems (experience in economic databases is an advantage);
• A general background in information technology systems and network management;
• Willingness to work independently and as part of a team, including to support the transfer of technical skills to others;
• Strong oral communication skills in English as well as Bahasa Indonesia; and
• Have a commitment to working with Government of Indonesia systems.

Treasury & Finance Policy Consultant

• Treasury & Finance Policy Consultant, for up to 2 months. The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate:
• Experience with Treasury and Finance strategy and operations, particularly related to debt and/or cash management;
• Successful policy and technical advice at the strategic and operational levels;
• Advanced analytical skills and a strong command of finance theory and concepts;
• Willingness to work independently and as part of a team, including to support the transfer of technical skills to others;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English as well as Bahasa Indonesia; and
• Have a commitment to working with Government of Indonesia systems.
